Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator

The Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator creates, facilitates and implements the organization's volunteer recruitment initiatives; helps build and maintain external community relationships, and tracks and follows-up with persons interested in becoming Court Appointed Special Advocate Volunteers.

General activities include: 

  • Creating, implementing and evaluating the CASA's volunteer recruitment plan with an emphasis on creating and implementing activities to recruit people from diverse communities. 
  • Scheduling, coordinating and hosting presentations and participating in community events to recruit new volunteers and to raise awareness about CASA and the fight against child abuse and neglect.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field with 2 years of volunteer recruiting or public speaking experience or 4 years of public speaking/volunteer recruiting experience with a deep understanding of the CASA mission and volunteer recruiting. Candidates should have knowledge and understanding of child abuse and neglect issues, and a general understanding of the child welfare system and knowledge and experience working with and engaging people from diverse populations.

This is a part-time position. The pay range is $15 - $17/hour.
